Clinton presides over rural conference in Iowa

Senate condemns bombing and backs death penalty

The Senate unani­mously condemns the Oklahoma City bombing and urges federal prosecutors to seek the death penalty for those responsible. In a 97 to 0 vote the chamber passed a resolution sponsored by Oklahoma Senators Don Nickles and James Inhofe with other leaders praising the victims and calling the attack heinous.
