Chi Omega Fountain Dedicated at KU Campus
The Chi Omega fountain at the west end of Jayhawk Drive at Kansas University was officially dedicated Sunday in a ceremony at the fountain circle. About 300 students alumnae and KU officials attended. Chancellor Franklin D Murphy accepted the gift noting it adds beauty alongside utility. The piece was modeled on an 18th century English manor fountain chosen for harmony with the Chi Omega house. Mrs C S Filkin greeted the alumnae and introduced Lambda chapter founders. Nellie Barnes and Jim Bass were recognized for research and design. The invocation was led by Rev Albert G Parker and the event continued on page 2.
