Diet of mom May Hint at Baby's Sex in UK Study
A UK study of about 700 first time pregnant women links higher pre pregnancy calorie intake with a higher chance of a boy. Daily cereal consumption and extra potassium also correlate with bearing a son, though researchers caution against overeating or undernourishing. First US procedure uses titanium OsteoBridge for arm tumor
Orthopedic oncologist Dr. Kim Templeton at KU Hospital led a pioneering case replacing most of Paul’s upper arm bone with a titanium OsteoBridge after a large tumor required nerve and muscle detachment. The 6 hour surgery connected the implant to remaining bone with cement and screws, with recovery aiming for full activity.
