Mother and son die in Pike Turnpike crash east of Lawrence
A Kansas City Kansas mother Elizabeth Ann Findley Sedders aged 28 and her seven year old son Charles Edward Sedders died in a one car crash on the Kansas Turnpike about 8 30 pm Monday thirteen miles east of Lawrence. The car left the road rolled over and came to rest on its top. The Cooper Warren Funeral Home is handling arrangements with services set for Olivet Baptist Church Kansas City Kansas. The deaths mark the eighth and ninth Turnpike fatalities this year and reflect a two day period with multiple area wrecks raising highway death tolls in Douglas County and the state.
