DNA clues crown Spokane murder suspect Yates

After three years and a $2.2 million task force, advances in DNA and carpet fiber links from a white Corvette led to the arrest of Robert Lee Yates Jr. for the murder of 16 year old Jennifer Joseph. Detectives cited fiber and DNA matches tying Yates to multiple slayings and solicited further links to other cases.

Mourned teens killed during Easter pilgrimage in New Mexico

In Cuimayo New Mexico two 17 year old pilgrims Richard Martinez and Karen Castanon were shot dead while on a Holy Week Easter trek to the Santuario de Chimayo. Investigators searched for suspects as families and thousands of pilgrims mourned.
