Ray Williams and Kansas University basketball coaches and players will host an autograph session from 4 30 to 6 30 p m May 1 at Allen Fieldhouse. Fans may have at most two items signed. Driver hospitalized after Eudora crash and other local notices

A Friday blaze at 1447 Massachusetts Street in Lawrence caused about $80,000 in damage to a two story residence split into two apartments. Unattended candle sparked flames on the second floor injuring no residents while Fire Lt. Mark Elliott was treated for a hip bruise after a hose slip and released.
