Four KU alumni to receive Distinguished Service Citations
Four Kansas University alumni and a friend of the university will be honored with Distinguished Service Citations during Alumni Weekend. Recipients Billy Mills Marynell Dyatt Reece Christina Hixson and Larry Horner will receive citations at the All-University supper Friday at the Kansas Union Ballroom.

Chappell and Bank IV Kansas Settle Lawsuit
Douglas County Commissioner Jim Chappell settled a 28239 dollar suit with Bank IV Kansas this morning after a March 9 filing alleging failure to pay two loans used for office equipment. Attorney Andy Ramirez said terms remain confidential. Chappell said loans would be paid in full.

Navy Seaman Taylor Returns From Six Month Deployment
Navy Seaman Billy R. Taylor, a 1991 Baldwin High School graduate, returned from a six month deployment to the Western Pacific and Indian Ocean aboard the aircraft carrier USS Ranger homeported in San Diego. He is the son of Gary Taylor Baldwin.

New affirmative action head aims to bolster KU office
