Lawrence police reported two thefts and a vandalism case. John Bendvenga, a KU senior, said his apartment at 519 Fireside Dr. was robbed of a TV, stereo, record player, and tape recorder valued at 610 dollars after 3 p.m. Thursday. Sharon Smith a 22 year old KU senior from Ottawa was hospitalized in good condition at Lawrence Memorial Hospital after a late Thursday crash at 19th Street and Naismith Drive. She suffered a cut behind her ear as a passenger in a car driven by Robert Liggatt. Arnold Feinberg 18 faced a separate collision. Damages totaled 290 dollars to Feinberg’s auto. Liggatt’s car was demolished.
