Athletes from universities colleges and high schools across the United States competed in the sixth annual Kansas Relays. Adverse weather limited record setting with only one meet record. Central High School Kansas City won the last half mile relay in 1 minute 82 seconds, while the University of Kansas quartet consisting of Jones Melnerney Cooper and Grady won the quarter mile relay in 42.2 seconds.
