Fewer Komen Race Registrations After Planned Parenthood Row
Facing a donation dispute over funding to Planned Parenthood the national Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure saw participation fall in several affiliates. Dallas area registrants like Ka tie Sanchez say they will not race this fall after donating entry fees to Planned Parenthood. By March 25 registration was still down about 30 percent from 2011 with roughly 7,200 registrants and a $425,000 fundraise, about 25 percent lower.
