Static Electricity Blamed for Dust Storms in Midwest
Kingman, April 18. Wallace E. Emmons, Kingman editor, blames static electricity for dust storms that lift fine dry vegetable particles into the air. He cites analyses showing half the dust from storms is vegetable matter and suggests moisture loss on the high plains fuels the plumes.
