Four vehicle crash injures 12 year old in Lawrence
A 93 year old Lawrence man Aubrey C Edwards rear ended a Toyota on Lawrence Avenue at 12 43 PM Sunday then backed up and hit a Pontiac and a Plymouth Voyager in the intersection of Lawrence Avenue and West Sixth Street. A 12 year old girl Maci N Lawrence riding in the Pontiac was treated at the scene.

Lawrence students earned top honors in the annual mathematics competition at Kansas University on April 5. Fifth and sixth graders claimed first place with Anjali Datta, Quail Run School. Tina Tian, Hillcrest School. and Ruth Byers, Raintree Montesori School tied for second. Kyle Consolver and Betty Zhang, Hillcrest, tied for third. Junior high winners include Deepyaman Datta first, Jong-Hoon Ahn second, and Seungjim Choi third from Southwest Junior High. High school sees Nathaniel Twarog of Free State High School earning second place. a strong field across districts highlighted the event.
