Court drops St. Pat’s green paint stripe case
Tonganoxie resident Charlie Tuna Conrad faced municipal court for criminal damage to property after painting a green line on Fourth Street before the St Patrick’s Parade. City Attorney Mike Kelly said the case was dismissed and no fines will be enforced. Conrad received a letter announcing the dismissal and was told he need not act further.

Army staff sergeant Eric Maddox, who helped lead the capture of Saddam Hussein, recalled freezing in his first prisoner interview in Iraq. He told of his stumble during a raid interview as part of a Lawrence lecture series at the Lied Center.

School board member named dean at Utah Architecture College
Keith Diaz Moore, a Lawrence school board member and KU associate professor of architecture, has been named dean of the University of Utah College of Architecture and Planning. He joined KU in 2006, chaired the architecture department, and earned a Ph.D. from Wisconsin Milwaukee. He resigned from the Lawrence board to assume the Utah post.
