Iowa Powerball Jackpot Not Won On Wednesday Night Draw
No Powerball jackpot winner was reported in Des Moines as none of the tickets matched all six numbers. Players matching all five numbers plus the Powerball would have shared a 24.3 million dollar prize, now estimated to rise to about 29 million for Saturday. There were three tickets that matched the first five numbers but missed the Powerball, each worth 100 thousand dollars.

Farm foreclosure ends in double tragedy near Whitefish
Thelma J. Lee and Maureen R. O'Boyle, two women who fought an 11 year legal battle to save their Naughty Pines Chicken Farm south of Whitefish, were found dead with 13 cats and three dogs in a garage just before SBA seized the property. Sheriff says they appeared to die by their own actions after the federal auction. A note left on the gate and another on the door indicated they planned to leave possessions to a friend and had believed they had found all the cats.
