Fort Scott April 17 Miss Margaret Lynn aged 30 who was burned by hot clothing while thawing water pipes died this morning after suffering burns three months ago and a week of blood poisoning following her accident. In St Louis on April 17 Captain James A Rider age 66, longtime janitor of St James Memorial Episcopal church, shot himself in a room adjoining the auditorium during services. The shot was heard by the congregation. the rector Dr Duckworth addressed mourners and asked the congregation to leave. Rider, born in Liverpool, had served as a British merchant mariner captain and was said to have a troubled reputation after a period in New York City.
