Joseph F. Spineto of 1938 Maple Lane pleaded guilty in Topeka federal court to theft from the federal mails. A former University of Kansas student and Lawrence Post Office clerk, he acknowledged stealing a $79 check on April 3 while employed. Sentencing was deferred pending a pre sentence report.
