Parade marks KU basketball season finale in Lawrence
Lawrence residents and families packed downtown streets to greet KU players as the team paraded after winning the national championship. Fans from Olathe and local residents claimed spots on Massachusetts Street while youngsters and new Jayhawk families celebrated Kaidren Eberhart’s christening as a Jayhawk. Police reported a well behaved crowd with minor incidents and a large turnout ending at Allen Fieldhouse for the awards ceremony.
