A 572 acre tract south of Haskell Institute near Broken Arrow Park has been transferred by the federal government to the University of Kansas for zoology entomology and botany studies. Maxwell Injury Update At University Medical Center
Lawrence High senior Chip Maxwell, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jack Maxwell, was in fair condition at Kansas University Medical Center after a March 22 fall caused a concussion and temporary double vision. He previously spent two weeks at Lawrence Memorial Hospital and was a starting quarterback in 1966 and a forward on the 1966-67 basketball team.
