Indian School settlement verdict settles Lawrence location

Definite decision locates the Indian School at Lawrence with 200 acres purchased. Deeds and abstracts sent to Secretary Teller in Washington. Land lies south of Col. O E Learnard, with D buildings planned on the forty acre parcel. Bids to be advertised and construction to start by June, progressing toward rapid completion.

Brady to Be Hanged After Irish Murder Trial

In Dublin on April 13 the Joe Brady murder trial concluded with a guilty verdict and a death sentence. Webb argued against conspiracy evidence while Prosecution tied Brady to a broader plot. Brady proclaimed his innocence as he was led away. sentence set for May 14.

Brownsville railroad extension and freight plan

A Brownsville dispatch reports harmony among Palmer Sullivan ferry and town interests for Mexican National Construction Co to build an extension of the Denver Rio Grande through Brownsville. The project includes ferry landings, track to Matamoras, and car transfers, enabling freight to Monterey City. Also, Chicago Burlington and Quincy will cut freight rates 25 percent between St Louis St Paul and Minneapolis next Monday. Treasury circular guides bonded transport to Louisville exhibit

Washington April 13 The Treasury Department issued a circular stating that dutiable goods arriving at Philadelphia Boston New York Baltimore and New Orleans destined for Louisville may be shipped by bonded common carriers from port of arrival to Louisville under the act for immediate transportation. Upon arrival at Louisville usual government protection regulations apply.
