26 Die In Wreck Near Mexico City On Rail Line
A Mexico City railway agency report states at least 26 people killed and 42 injured in an early morning collision on the Laredo Guadalajara line 140 miles north of the capital. The Guadalajara train struck the rear of Train No. 2 from Laredo as it repaired a defective air brake. Officials say all the dead were aboard the Guadalajara train. 22 bodies were recovered seven hours after the crash. U.S. citizens were not among the injured list.
