NASA selects Mars rover landing sites for water clues
NASA on Friday named two landing sites for twin rovers on Mars to probe ancient water. Gusev crater likely held a dried river and a lake, while Meridiani Planum shows hematite rich terrain formed in standing water. Both near the equator in the southern hemisphere, 60 to 120 miles long and about 12 miles wide.
