Results of School Lunch Program Grow Visible
After just over five weeks, grade school and junior high pupils from needy families have benefited from lunches or augmented meals. Miss Electa Kindelsperger reports weight gains, improved happiness, and better health. At the junior high 14 receive full lunches, 43 get free milk, 30 receive vegetables or fruit. $93 has been spent from a fund with contributions from parents, the Women's City Club, the Junior High PTA, and others. The American Legion drive donated 170 cans of vegetables and 84 cans of fruit. Moll’s Bakery provides bread and Mrs. E. F. Abels supplied 294 quarts of milk. The Rotary Club also provides milk to 150 grade pupils.

D Tt Beckstrom the Greely county attorney died yesterday of pneumonia aggravated by dust at age. He had prosecuted the Lavoo murder case until last Friday and will be succeeded by special prosecutor Robert Mason and assistants. Beckstrom served seven terms as Greely county attorney and once as Wallace county attorney. Born in Moline Illinois he came to Greeley county in 1890s from Oakland Nebraska and was unmarried. A brother Luther Beckstrom of Tribune survives.
