Sullivan Wins KU Student Body President Election
Kansas University students backed Leawood junior Scott Sullivan to lead the Unite ticket in the annual student body presidency race. He defeated Jason Fizell and Michael Yaghmour, with 1,699 votes to 1,358 and 243, amid a low turnout of about 3,300 voters. Sullivan vows to push faculty teaching evaluations, campus engagement, and lobbying Topeka on higher education. Voter referendums show strong support for campus child care expansion and a proposed campus fee increase for Hilltop Child Development Center.
