Yola, in county jail after arrest Saturday on burglary charges, added new confessions yesterday after Ottawa and Manhattan officers questioned him. He had already confessed to eight robberies in Lawrence, including the Peter Pan grocery on March 29 and the King drug store and Hixon Auto Supply store in Manhattan. He took more than 100 dollars from the King drug store and admitted seven Ottawa shop burglaries in the past two weeks. County Attorney Springer said no charges filed yet and that he awaits District Judge Hugh Means to proceed in district court.

Crumbaker Dies by Carbon Monoxide Suicide Near Lone Star
George D. Crumbaker a 38 year old farmer south of Lone Star died this morning from carbon monoxide fumes in his car. County coroner Dr L K Zimmer said the death appears self inflicted and a note found indicates he suffered mental distress. His car was driven to a spot near the Lone Star CCC camp with a rubber hose leading from the exhaust through a window and the window opening stuffed with burlap. He was married with a young child.

Naval expansion plan estimates seven and a half billion dollars
