Kansas Society asks scrutiny of history texts
The Kansas Mayflower Descendants, joined by the Daughters of the American Revolution and other groups, urged the state text book commission to require examination of history books for accuracy and teaching quality. They urged selecting textbooks for five years based on expert teacher recommendations, not state authorship or price, and applying the same standard to all subjects.
