Senate Approves KU Budget Increases For Faculty And Operations

Lawrence and Douglas County See Construction Boom
The first quarter 1976 new construction value in Douglas County rose to a record 878,200 with 835,200 from 25 residential permits. Lawrence March alone reached 3.8 million, mostly residential, while county permits clustered in March. One commercial permit was a 15,000 dog kennel in Grant Township. Total 1975 county construction stood at 2.46 million. Six county permits were issued for mobile homes totaling 28,000 with 533 in permit fees collected.
