Baldwin City approves pool project and new tobacco vending rule
City council moves forward on a $2 million Baldwin pool after last week's vote and forms a nine member building commission to oversee construction and financing. They also approve a loosening tobacco vending ordinance with a $25 annual retailer fee amid opposition from Jennie Washburn. Nearby actions include contracting BG Consultants to oversee $27,670 in wastewater work, allocating $5,500 to fix a library door and drainage improvements, and accepting a $171,818 bid to replace three stormwater drainage culverts.
