Love Loses Motion in Courtney Love Disorderly Conduct Case
A Los Angeles judge refused to suppress evidence in Courtney Love's case on disorderly conduct and under the influence charges. The 39 year old rocker, who did not attend the hearing, was arrested October 2 outside an ex boyfriend's home after police said she wandered the driveway unsteadily and slurred speech. The singer admitted breaking windows but vandalism charges were not pressed. Officer Alonzo Howell testified that Love may be under the influence and sought a drug recognition officer. Love's attorney contended police had no reason to investigate for drugs after deciding not to arrest for vandalism.
