Captain Julie Bridges led the squad in a run of strong performances, including wins over Stirling and Cardiff and an 89-0 drubbing of an opponent, as they built unity ahead of the Western tournament in Lawrence. The trip included cultural stops in Rugby, England, and marked the program’s first international foray, with precautions near the foot and mouth outbreak noted.
