Manic Press debuts The Enigma Machine comic with sales through area bookstores and the internet at enigmamachine.com. Comic book priced at 2.95 and 4.95 for the edition with a CD.
Kansas City's Manic Press unveils The Enigma Machine an ambitious five artist anthology. Coates Powell Jordan Khalifah and Doty combine traditional graphic art writing marketing and music to showcase diverse styles and promote local publishing. They plan national distribution with Diamond while mentoring fledgling artists and staging shows at Planet and Kansas City Comicon. The Mag can be reached at 832-7178.
The show titled Norman Rockwell Original Paintings from the National Scouting Museum runs through April 15 featuring 10 works created 1935 to 1972 for Boy Scout calendars and magazines. Hours are 9 a.m. to 4 30 p.m. weekdays and 12 30 p.m. to 4 30 p.m. Sundays. admission is 2 dollars for adults and 1 dollar for children.
