Officer Pat Jones Is Shot In Kansas City Mob Action
In Kansas City on April 4 Officer Pat Jones tried to arrest two men suspected of battery theft. He was shot three times as they fled. One suspect was captured and later hanged by a mob from Bluff Street Bridge after protests. The officer leaves a wife and five children.
