In newer subdivisions trees are developer funded with a one year warranty. after that, homeowners are responsible. Homeowners may plant their own tree or have the city supply one for 245 dollars. Michael and Victoria Lowe of Lawrence welcomed a girl on Sunday. Aaron and Mandy Shockley of Eudora welcomed a girl on Sunday.
A driver identified as Josiah Benton collided with a tree while eastbound on US 40 about 10:24 p.m. Saturday five miles east of the Douglas Shawnee county line. Benton was airlifted to Stormont Vail Regional Health Center in Topeka. condition updates were unavailable. Benton’s 1996 Dodge pickup is registered in Hartford Missouri and he may reside in Lecompton.
