KSU assistant coach dies in Kansas crash
Chuck Garrett, 32, an assistant basketball coach at Kansas State University, died in a three car wreck on U S 56 77 near Lincolnville Kansas. Michael Schaeffer 25 and his wife Dee 24 were injured while mist and sleet fell at the time. Garrett previously coached at North Texas State and Southern Illinois University and was a Patoka Illinois native and McKendree College graduate. He is survived by his wife Carol and two children Scott and Staci.
