Topeka April 1 CPI The Kansas supreme court named former District Judge A T Ayres of Howard as commissioner to take evidence in the ouster suit against former Sheriff George W Hale. Ayres will report findings of fact and conclusions of law to the court as soon as feasible. Hale, suspended a month ago, is accused of intoxication at Ottawa February 18 and convicted in police court there, with appeal planned. Hale says sudden illness prevented recognition of the Ottawa arrest while driving from Kansas City.
