Snow Hall Dedication Marks University Progress
The Snow Hall of Natural History dedication at the University was led by regents and local officials. Douglas C3 Horticultural Society Meets at University Hall
The Douglas County Horticultural Society held a small regular meeting at the university hall last Saturday. Dinner served about 12:30 with under thirty attendees. R Seynolds reported the county exhibit won the highest premium at Bismarck fair, though the premium not yet received. Vineyards discussion focused on grape varieties, cultivation, and issues with bees and birds affecting crops. Prof. Canfield delivered a lecture on early American history. Delegates BF. Broith and F. Reynolds chosen for the State Historical Society meeting in Keaporia. S Reynolds displayed apples from a 28-year-old tree. Lawrence editor Qashun Shannon spent Monday night in Burlington. Knights of Pythias band serenaded at the Morris house.
