Rest, Kansas April 19. Dr W B Roup noted physician and pioneer Kansan died this morning of dropsy. The obituary notes his long service in medicine and local community roles.
From Prevesa to Milouna Pass the battle rages with 50 000 troops engaged over thirty hours. Greek holds fall as Turks press toward the frontier. Greek fleet bombards Prevesa, capturing guns and forts, while Athens reports mixed results and continued action along the Thessalian line.
The Greek warships bombarded Prevesa after Turkish fortifications at the gulf entrance fired on the Greek steamer Maceronia, wounding its captain. Greek forces attacked forts, with additional bombardment from gunboats inside the gulf as 2,000 Greeks march fromVonitza to Segara toward Kevesa.
