Community Notes On Local People And Health

Cotton picking in this community is almost a thing of the past. Burke Bush, who has been in the Vicksburg hospital for several weeks, is able to be home again. L. B. Black returned Monday from Alabama where he spent a week with relatives. B. F. Sumrall, surveyor, left Tuesday for East Laurel to work for the Wausau people. Dr. J. W. Stringer, of Soso, was in this city Monday. He has recently passed the State Board of Doctors and will very likely make this his future stopping place.

Heidelberg Community News Makers Attend Visits

Miss Velma Morrison visited relatives in Hattiesburg last week. Miss Edna Mixon went to Yossburg over the weekend. Mrs. Frank Bethea and children Inda and Hattie Mae are visiting relatives here. Mr. and Mrs. J. O. McCormick of Collins visit locally. An entertainment will be held at the school house on Halloween night. The cotton market remains favorable though not as strong as 1909. A shipment of possums is sent weekly to Laurel. Laurel residents enjoy possums and taters.
