Italians Escaped Fever at New Orleans Test
In New Orleans on October 5 the Marine Hospital service tested fever prevention by placing fifteen Italians from New York in the heart of the infected Little Italy area. They stayed a week in rooms used by fever cases yet slept under the same mosquito bars and beds without contracting yellow fever.
