Man Admits Train Shooting on May 8 1906 Near Hoy
Floyd Roberts, a young white man, fired a 22 calibre rifle bullet into the colored compartment of train No. 1 on the M J and K C railroad about one mile south of Hoy in the afternoon of May 8 1906. He had a preliminary hearing before D H Price J P and was bound over to the Circuit Court under 500 dollar bond. He admitted the crime and was bound over without further procedure for the higher courts.

Doctors Meet in Ellisville Seek Press Restraint on Names

Made His Escape Wednesday in Louisiana News
Newt Horton, a Black man who resisted Clark and Goodgame weeks ago by locking himself in a house and threatening to shoot, escaped Wednesday from the city convict guard. He was fired upon several times by the guard and perhaps wounded but fled into the woods.
