New Regulations for Private Post Cards Issued
Washington on March 5 reports a Postmaster General order setting size limits for private post cards at three and nine sixteenths by five and nine sixteenths inches unfolded. Cards must be uniform in paper quality, resemble government cards, may be colored if legible, and may include attached thin sheets only if fully adhered. Cards with embedded glass metal mica sand or similar materials are rejected unless enclosed in envelopes.

City Jail Blaze Frees Prisoners In Fire Escape
Sunday afternoon a fire at the city jail led to prisoners escaping from adjoining stalls after fire crews arrived. Two strong streams soon controlled the blaze though the origin remains unknown. It is believed inmates may have started it with a lit match among bedding. All prisoners except one remained near the building as it was made safe.

A white man escaped prisoner walked away from a fire scene calling for a quick exit to save the city lock-up. He urged bystanders to help, and no one suspected his identity. The building sustained about $50 in damage.
