Dr C H Ramsey, born 1876 in Monitee Florida, is named chair of Histology and Pathology at Meridian Medical College. At thirty he is described as a rising, studious physician. He trained at Atlanta College of Physicians and Surgeons and studied in Laurel Mississippi before rising to this honor. His Laurel family will remain as he divides time between Meridian and Laurel.

Mrs. Almeda Ellis Dies At Forty Five In South Laurel
Mrs. Almeda Ellis aged forty five died of Typhoid fever at her home in South Laurel Wednesday evening. She was survived by a husband and eight children. Her remains were interred at Hickory Grove cemetery at five o'clock. Funeral services were conducted by Rev. L. G. Gates of the First Baptist Church.
