Brother W J Fendley will join Mrs Fendley in New Orleans and arrive today for interment. He leaves a wife and a three year old son along with parents three brothers and one sister. Fendley a Mason and Woodman, had faith and peace in God.
The board of supervisors met Monday and spent most time on tax reductions. They may consider applicants as laws allow if W S Collins and A J West recommend repairs at the county poor house. Township trustees were appointed in each beat to guard the 16th land interest. Wayne Welborn reports a nine pound boy born February 1.

Lee Mathews underwent another surgical operation after illness. Homer Isvans visited relatives here. J Fatheree left for his sister's illness. Deer hunting brought in three good bucks. The Whitfield Line school contest was splendid with the county contest set for February 6.
A wildfire roared through the roughs of the forest in Shady Grove this week, consuming cord wood estimated to have significant value for local use and economic activity. No injuries reported. Fire crews contained the blaze after several hours of effort.
At the home of the bride’s mother Mr L C Mosley and Miss Annie Wade were united in marriage Sunday evening with W D Smith officiating. Mr and Mrs J H Bush were shopping in Laurel Monday. John Galloway and family spent Sunday at the home of J J Bush.
Clergy from Protestant Pastors' Association attended with T. W. Adams and L. F. Alford absent. Fifth Avenue Baptist and Methodist churches reported good attendance with sermons by Basmanjam. Kingston Baptist had no service due to heating issues. Armenian missionary discourse inspired many toward foreign missions. Epworth League at Fifth Avenue shows new life. Presbyterians plan a new manse. Y M C A services featured Basmanjam at 3 p.m. Numerous congregations reported lively Sabbath attendance despite cold.
