Death of Laurel Citizen D G Burnett at Fifty Two
D G Burnett a well known Laurel resident died Thursday after a two week illness sparked by a rusty nail injury. He faced septic infection and paralysis, aged 52, leaving eight children. He came from Jasper county where he ran a business. Interment was held Thursday at Montrose in the family cemetery with many friends and relatives in attendance.

The skating rink opened last Tuesday night December 5 to a large crowd. It is in first class condition with new ball bearing skates. Ladies admitted free on Tuesdays and Fridays, lessons free.
