Dr Lawrence Leggett, a respected dentist from Gurdon, Ark, was shot twice at the depot by Ivan Starnes. An inquest was held by Coroner J R Williams. Leggett had recently moved from Mississippi and had fled prior troubles tied to Starnes’ sister.
