A severe wind storm struck north of Isane near Hamilton Hill by Mico. Trees and fences were blown down and crops damaged. Bowen Herrington, returning from Laurel, was crushed by a falling oak. His mule died instantly and he suffered critical injuries with a broken back and rib damage.
