W J Hurst of the Laurel Truck Growers Association reports shipments of radishes to Chattanooga Cincinnati and Lexington. The Chattanooga lot was not salable but the other shipments show promise. Truckers seek to gauge market opening after disappointing returns last year.
The YMC A notes invite men to next Sunday's talk by Rev Gates on The Way of the Transgressor is Hard and urge full effort by the quartet. A free public exhibition is planned next Friday night with presents for each young man, plus outdoor work and a larger class of boys. The Ladies Aid meets Monday at 3 30 p m. all are asked to attend. Cotton growers are urged to attend a talk by Walter Clark of the Mississippi Cotton Growers Association at the Ellisville courthouse on Friday April 18. He will discuss diversification and better cotton prices. J J Collins, president. Easter services by Rev J S Parker at Kingston Methodist Church at 11 am the third Sunday in April.
