Accidental pistol discharge wounds James Bush at depot
James Bush was seriously wounded at the North Eastern depot by an accidental pistol discharge. The ball entered under the right collar bone and caused heavy bleeding. He was treated at the depot and then taken to the YMCA before being moved home. fate improved as doctors could not locate the ball yet his lungs were unharmed. Cleveland Laird and Bush had stored two pistols together and one fired as Bush moved his hand toward his pocket.
