Surgeons Hopper and McGoernick performed the operation and the patient is resting peacefully. Also Mrs J M Shaws had a morning operation at Jesse Gates hospital and is resting uneasily. Dr Hamsey carried out the procedure.

A 16 year old Jackson girl, Britt, is said to be heir to a Bathmore estate valued at six million dollars mostly in cash and stocks. An aunt in Baltimore reportedly left the estate to her, but officials say the girl and family recently moved to Hooker avenue. Britt denies plans to claim the fortune, showing little interest in the wealth.
