A drive against creating Delta county grows in both houses with Belzoni backing the measure to make it county seat. A hearing is set for February 26 at 7 p m before the local and private legislation committee.
The Woman's Missionary Union of West Laurel Baptist Church gathered Thursday at Mrs. Will Sledgepark’s home for an afternoon meeting. Visitor Mrs. S. J. Molmes of the Methodist society attended, and a program on an and its needs was presented. Members discussed foreign missions and prayer for gospel work. Next meeting set for March 7 at Mrs. J. O. Webb’s home.
