The National Labor Relations Board ordered the first elections to decide if Las Vegas casino guards will be unionized. Voting will occur at the Horseshoe Club on October 8 and by mail for guards at the Four Queens Hotel. Guards will choose among Local 1 United Security and Investigative Officers of Nevada, the International Federation of Security Guards, the International Union of Police and Protection Employees, or no union. Polls run 6:45 to 7:15 a.m. and 2:45 to 3:15 p.m. Supervisory staff are ineligible.
